Welcome to our home at the Burgerhof
Behind the Burgerhof stands our family—and with them, people who don’t just work here, but truly call this place home. The farm has been in our family for many generations, and even today, it’s not just a “business” to us, but a place where daily life, farming, and hospitality come together naturally.
We take care of the animals, the farm, and the garden just as people do up in the mountains: Our small family farm thrives on genuine farming, warm hospitality, and the rhythm of the seasons.
Here, we share with our guests what is close to our hearts: fresh milk and eggs from our animals, vegetables and herbs from our farm garden, and the peace and quiet that settles in when you simply sit on a bench and enjoy the view.
We hope you feel right at home with us and enjoy authentic farm life. You’ll be staying with us—ski instructors Peter, Thomas, and Evelyn. At our home, we offer our guests not just a vacation rental, but our farm as a vacation oasis.
Warm regards, the Jocher family from the Burgerhof

Our mountain farm, located at 1,000 meters above sea level and specializing in dairy cattle, is a small family-run business that combines tradition with a modern spirit. There are many interesting, informative, and above all, legendary stories to tell about the area surrounding the farm. Our farm was first mentioned in 1451 and is situated directly at the foot of the historically significant and legendary local mountain, the “Burger Bichl.” Who knows, maybe you’ll be the one to find the mysterious treasure there... our farm chronicle will tell you more.

From our farm, you can explore our beautiful surroundings in every season. Whether it’s through scenic hikes with panoramic views that start right at our farm, or if you’d like to head higher up to our local mountain, the Plose, where plenty of action awaits you with a summer toboggan run, mountain bikes, bike trails, and downhill routes. If you’re looking for something a bit more leisurely, family hikes along the Woodywalk and the numerous mountain huts—each with its own small playground—are perfect for you.
Fall is Törggele season here. There are several places in the immediate vicinity where you can enjoy this special South Tyrolean tradition.
Straight from the farm to the snow!
Winter hiking trails, snowshoeing, downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, ice skating… Winter magic on our Plose ski mountain with our three family ski instructors, Peter, Thomas, and Evelyn, who also teach at the Plose Ski & Snowboard School (www.ploseskischule.it). The valley station of the Plose family ski and hiking area is just a 7-minute drive from us. Other nearby ski areas in our beautiful South Tyrolean mountains, in the heart of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site of the Dolomites, are also worth exploring.
At the Burgerhof in South Tyrol, nature, tranquility, and a warm, family-friendly atmosphere come together in a place where children can enjoy their freedom and parents can recharge their batteries.

Our always cheerful cows
Friendly, curious, and always ready for a pat—that’s what our cows are like! In the fall, they love being led out to pasture by the children. Ole the calf and his friends wait for their milk right on time. Our guests, young and old alike, plan their day around 6:00 p.m., when the cows gather in the barn. Then the question naturally arises: who will be the barn leader today?

Pfiffikus and his girls Gundi, Berti, and the rest
Pfiffikus the rooster and his hens, along with the ducks Gundi, Berta, and Erna, who roam around the farmyard, are overjoyed when the children scatter grain for them at 4:00 p.m. And let’s not forget the quails! Our Amelia is a proud quail breeder :-)

Aika and Nuri
Our two cats, Aika and Nuri, also live on the farm: they’re real explorers! They love to roam around the farm, climb walls, sneak through the grass, and watch everything that’s going on with curiosity.

The Rabbit Family, Our Plush Toys
The rabbits are the main attraction at our farm. If it’s quiet on the farm and you don’t hear any children’s voices, you can be sure your kids are sitting in the rabbit hutch, holding the bunnies.

Soft, four-legged wool
Our sheep are the farm’s adorable little balls of fur. They graze on fresh grass and soak up the sun in “Schafhausen.” When they’re happy, they bleat softly, as if they were having a conversation.
Our farm offers regional and fresh products for the perfect family breakfast. There’s a fresh bakery right on the farm, as well as a quaint farm tavern nearby.
